The Co-op works with individuals, neighbourhoods, community development practitioners, non-government organisations, and government authorities. Professional services

The Co-op operates as a consultancy agency for individuals, neighbourhoods, non-government organisations, and government authorities.

Our areas of expertise include;

• organisational development;
• evaluation;
• community facility planning;
• community arts;
• literacy and numeracy programs; and
• community based training.

Training and facilitation

Community Praxis Co-op has developed a suite of training options over the past 25 years. These include;

• Professional Community Development;
• Community Builders Training;
• Community Organisation Management; and
• Community Project Planning.

Courses are tailored to the participants, who may be Community Development practitioners, local residents or staff working in NGOs and government.

Events and Masterclasses

We partner with national and international practitioners, universities and Community Development networks to co-host events and Masterclasses. 

Past events have included our "Conversations From The Heart" series, which employ openspace technology to create spaces for dialogue (run in conjunction with CD QLD's CD Conference); narrative therapy with David Denborough from the Dulwich Centre and UQ; and Masterclasses with international development practitioners Allan Kaplan and Sue Davidoff from The Proteus Initiative.
