Community Praxis Co-op
is a not-for-profit workers cooperative offering professional services in:
- community development
- youth development
- community consultation
- sector development
- organisational development
- evaluation
- community facility planning
- community arts
- community based training
- literacy and numeracy programs
Community Praxis Co-op was established in December 1998 by a group of community development colleagues who live in South East Queensland and have worked together over the past 18 years. There are currently eight members of the Co-op and a network of more than fifty colleagues who have worked together on a range of projects.

Community Praxis Co-op is offering the "Help I've got Community Development in my job description!" training on Thurs 3rd May & Fri 4th May . This 2 day training workshop at the Quaker House in Brisbane provides an excellent opportunity for both government and community sector workers to enhance their skills and knowledge in Community Development work. ‘Dialogical Community Development’ book
‘Dialogical Community Development: with depth, solidarity and hospitality’ (2009) is a book in which Community Praxis Co-op members Peter Westoby and Gerard Dowling reflect on twenty years of shared experience in the field as community development practitioners.

Books are $30.00 each, plus $3.00 GST.
Postage within Australia will cost AUS $6.00 for 1 book, AUS $12 for 2 or more; and overseas will cost AUS $15.00 for 1 book, with orders for 2 or more negotiable.
